Randy Taylor, Taylormade Leadership


Randy Taylor’s story is remarkable. His ability to connect with audiences and create lasting change is truly extraordinary. Extensive study over 30 years into the science of human behavior has allowed him to become one of the nations leading experts in human potential and leadership. He was able to overcome incredible odds. Beginning at age 28 he began a 20-year career that propelled him to the very top in Canadian broadcasting at CFRB 1010 and as the host of Summit of Life on Global Television. His level of expertise has won him several national broadcast awards. Twelve years ago Randy left broadcasting to form Taylormadeleadership. Through his own personal experience and study for over thirty years he has developed a dynamic new leadership and personal development process called “The Winner Within”. This program has received national endorsement from seven of the largest companies in Canada. His notoriety is growing among some of the top corporations and associations in North America. His client list includes Manulife, Motorola, London Life, Investors Group, Aim Trimark, Desjardins, Xerox, Empire Life, ReMax Realty, Petro Canada, Kraft Foods, Industrial Alliance, Freedom 55 Financial, The Government of Canada, Brookfield Homes, and many more.

Tonya Blackmore, APEXA


As CEO of APEXA, Tonya focuses on setting a long term strategy beyond implementation, while continuing to grow APEXA's service, and ensuring the service continues to add to the industry as it evolves. Tonya has worked in the Life Insurance and Life Reinsurance industry for the past 15 years, starting her career with an MGA office in her home province of Nova Scotia. This was followed by various leadership roles with Maritime Life and Manulife in the areas of client services, policy change, disbursements, claims and title changes. In 2006, Tonya joined the Manulife Reinsurance division as Director, Customer Management and subsequently was promoted to AVP, Operations for Life Reinsurance. In this capacity she was responsible for the strategic oversight of Operations including process efficiency, risk management, project leadership and staff performance and engagement. 

Throughout her career Tonya has taken an active role in the industry by participating in committees and presenting at industry forums in the areas of Education, Leadership, Organizational Change and Project Management.

Tonya holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Dalhousie University and an MBA from Laurier. When not focused on work Tonya has a love for the outdoors spending time mountain biking, hiking, sailing and skiing.;


Carlos Cardone, Investor Economics


As a Senior Consultant and Managing Director at Investor Economics, a premier Toronto consulting firm specializing in the financial services industry, Carlos Cardone leads a team of 10 professionals heavily immersed in the research of investment funds, deposit products and Canada’s wealth market. He is one of the key contributors to the Household Balance Sheet Report, as well as the firm’s wealth market segmentation analysis. Mr. Cardone also leads the research for the Insight Report, which focuses on investment funds; SIMFUND Canada, a web-based decision-making tool; the ETF and Index Fund Report; the Deposit and Fixed Income Advisory Service and Share of the Wealth Market Report, a customized study that measures the success of distribution and product strategies.

Mr. Cardone joined Investor Economics in 2004. Trained as a market analyst, he has several years’ experience in the automotive industry in South America.

Mr. Cardone graduated from the Social Sciences School, University of Buenos Aires, in Argentina. He is a native Spanish speaker, and as you might anticipate, a soccer fan.


Jeff Macinnis

Sal Guatieri, Chris Buttigieg & Mauro Grande, BMO


Sal Guatieri, Senior Economist - Sal's main responsibilities include analyzing and forecasting the U.S. and Canadian economies, housing markets, interest rates and exchange rates.

Chris Buttigieg, Senior Manager, Wealth Planning Strategy - Chris is responsible for overseeing the BMO Wealth Institute within the Enterprise Wealth Planning Group.

Mauro Grande, Area Manager, Specialized Lending - Mauro Grande is the BMO Specialized Lending Market Leader for Central and Western GTA.


Diana Petramala, TD


Diana Petramala joined the Economics department at TD Bank Group in June 2008. She has eight years of experience in economic analysis and research within the public and private sectors. Diana is TD’s housing expert. Her primary responsibility is analyzing and forecasting 13 major Canadian housing markets. Diana is also responsible for tracking risks associated with household balance sheets. She is frequently quoted by the media on economic issues. Prior to 2013, Diana was TD Economics macro economist, through which she gained extensive knowledge on the Canadian economy. Prior to joining TD Bank Financial Group, Diana worked as a research analyst for BMO financial Group. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Financial Management and a Master of Arts degree in Economics from Wilfrid Laurier University.
