As CEO of LOGiQ3 Ray leads the company’s core reinsurance administration and underwriting consulting and outsourcing business.
Ray has been in the insurance and reinsurance businesses for over 30 years, spending the past two as SVP and COO of mL3 global life, a LOGiQ3 subsidiary. Prior to joining mL3, Ray spent five years at The Hartford Insurance Group. For most of his tenure, Ray served as Vice President and Business Leader for their Group Life and Disability Reinsurance line, a business with a national customer base, over $100 million of annual revenue, and 125 reinsurance professionals.
Before The Hartford, Ray spent eight years at General Electric in roles that included President of Union Fidelity Life, Global Six Sigma Quality Leader for Life and Health Reinsurance, and Vice President of Individual Life Reinsurance.
In addition to being a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, Ray holds a Bachelor's Degree and an MBA from the University of Connecticut and is a GE-certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt.
As CEO of APEXA, Tonya will focus on setting a long-term strategy beyond implementation, continue to grow APEXA's service, and ensure the service continues to add to the industry as it evolves.
Tonya has worked in the Life Insurance and Life Reinsurance industry for the past 15 years, starting her career with an MGA office in her home province of Nova Scotia. This was followed by various leadership roles with Maritime Life and Manulife in the areas of client services, policy change, disbursements, claims and title changes. In 2006, Tonya joined the Manulife Reinsurance division as Director, Customer Management and subsequently was promoted to AVP, Operations for Life Reinsurance. In this capacity, she was responsible for the strategic oversight of Operations including process efficiency, risk management, project leadership and staff performance and engagement.
After being acquired by Pacific Life Reinsurance in 2011, Tonya was promoted to Vice President, IT and Operations where her role was expanded to include oversight of application development, infrastructure and IT Projects. She was also charged with leading the integration effort which included facilities design and relocation, integrating financial and accounting processes and completing the IT migration from Manulife to Pacific Life.
Throughout her career, Tonya has taken an active role in the industry by participating in committees and presenting at industry forums in the areas of Education, Leadership, Organizational Change and Project Management.
Tonya holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Dalhousie University and an MBA from Laurier. When not focused on work Tonya has a love for the outdoors spending time mountain biking, hiking, sailing and skiing.
Tom Freitas holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Boston College and an MBA from Fordham University. He started his career in IT development in investment banking and has spent the last 17 years in the reinsurance industry specializing in Operations and IT management. In his new role as CEO of TAI, Tom is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations and for creating and implementing the strategic and tactical plans of the organization.
In his last corporate role he was COO for SCOR Global Life Americas, where he was responsible for Operations and Information Technology supporting SCOR’s North and South American Life business. He has expertise in process control and improvement, insurance data and data quality, and how to combine operations, data, and IT into solutions for business problems and opportunities. In addition, he was responsible for the TARSAS product during his time at Transamerica Reinsurance. This product was a direct competitor to TAI and was ultimately sold to TAI as Transamerica decided to exit the direct reinsurance systems business.

As CFO for the LOGiQ3 group of companies, Sanjay is responsible for creating, enabling, preserving and reporting value.
Sanjay is a results-oriented CFO with over 20 years of progressive experience in the financial, management and operational areas of diversified financial services and technology organizations gained from domestic and international work opportunities.
Most recently, Sanjay has spent 14 years at MFX, a provider of technology services for the Insurance Industry. At MFX, a Fairfax company, Sanjay spent the last 8 years as the SVP & General Manager and prior to that as Director of Finance & Administration.
Before MFX, Sanjay spent three years at GE Capital Key Lease as eBusiness Director and prior to that as Programme Manager. In the preceding three years Sanjay was a Senior and then Principal Consultant at PwC Management Consultants based in London, England but assigned to world-wide work locations for Banking & Insurance sector clients.
